Prisons and Courthouses

Prisons and Courthouses are infrastructures that present different aspects of Security, such as the escape of prisoners, protection of guards and convicts, as well as all other persons who, for various reasons, attend the facilities.

Another significant aspect is the optimisation of the security personnel required which, at present, constitutes a significant cost element in the running of detention facilities.

The Security Model for Prisons and Courthouses proposed by Gruppo DAB is an Advanced Integrated Security - AIS system based upon open technological platforms that integrate the implemented systems and allow for communication with external processes, analysing and correlating the information collected and thereby maximising the investment in Security.

The integrated platform includes the control of perimeters (intrusion detection and anti-escape), control of accesses to the facilities (Block House or Control Station), video surveillance of external and internal areas (departments), automation of Security doors that separate the various sectors, management of PA systems, fire detection and extinguishing systems, management of interview rooms and mobile phone barring systems (in prohibited areas), etc.

The core of the control process is the supervising Operations Centre which analyses the data collected and coordinates the interventions in a targeted manner in the case of critical events. It is able to interact in a two-directional way with the functional systems and sub-systems present in the field, through the use of modern telecommunications networks.

The system software allows for the automation of all control procedures, maximising the level of Security and optimising the use of security personnel.
